Z-GUN

Story

My name is Marilyn Raven.

Treasure hunter. Relic thief. Professional problem solver. Call it whatever you want. The important thing is that I'm the best at what I do.

Six months ago, I bought an old map from a market vendor for less than 100 credits. She had no idea what she was selling. Her loss, my profit.

After running the map through my Cooks Machine, I discovered it pointed toward an ancient artifact known only as the Z-GUN.

Nobody seems to know why it was created. All I could find were old legends claiming it was forged millions of years ago and possesses the destructive power of sixty battle tanks.

Personally, I don't care if it's an ancient superweapon, a priceless historical discovery, or just another piece of forgotten junk.

If the Z-GUN is real, I'm finding it.

And if it's worth something?

I'm selling it to the highest bidder on Galaxy Alcove.

Developer's Note

Z-GUN is still a work in progress. While this version was created for the Y2K Game Jam, I have put a huge amount of effort into designing the weapons, enemies, artwork, music, and levels featured in the game.

There are many ideas and improvements I would like to explore in the future, including expanding the existing levels, introducing additional enemies, improving the overall balance, and further refining the experience.

I also plan to continue Marilyn Raven's adventure by developing additional levels after the game jam, allowing players to discover more weapons, explore new environments, and uncover more secrets surrounding the mysterious Z-GUN.

If you enjoy what you play here and would like to see Marilyn Raven's journey continue, I may develop Z-GUN into a larger, full-length game in the future.
